Our Intensive Outpatient Programs in Boynton beach, Delray beach, and Fort Lauderdale (IOP) are designed for those transitioning from a more intensive level of treatment or those who are working, going to school, or taking care of loved ones and unable to take a leave of absence. The program is designed with flexibility in mind.
Intensive outpatient program Boynton Beach often follows a higher level of care, such as medical detox, residential inpatient or partial hospitalizations. IOP can, however, be a standalone treatment option in some cases. IOP programs are geared toward learning how to re-integrate into the world-at-large as a newly sober individual. Our IOP programs focus on the root causes and consequences of addiction on multiple levels — emotional, mental, social, physical, and spiritual. IOP helps individuals get through challenging times while remaining sober. During IOP, clients are fully supported by their therapist, recovery community, and treatment peers. By working through the rough spots with support, individuals develop self-confidence, self-esteem, and personal integrity.
The Beachcomber intensive outpatient program Fort Lauderdale is a flexible form of addiction treatment that allows individuals to go to work, attend school, engage in their day-to-day lives, and live at home or at a recovery residence while simultaneously participating in a treatment program. Individuals attend treatment 3-4 days a week for 3 hours per day.
In our IOP treatment Fort Lauderdale, our multidisciplinary team provides support, structure, and hope for recovery from co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders. Every patient receives an individually-tailored program to meet his or her unique needs through group and individual therapy, as well as life skills classes integrated with 12-step principles.
Over the course of the client’s participation in outpatient services, families are updated regularly and involved in discharge planning. Family sessions are arranged by the patient and therapist, which can take place in person or over the phone. Referents are contacted upon admission and thereafter as requested.
Our professional therapists are highly experienced and trained in a variety of therapeutic methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), relapse prevention, trauma intensive outpatient program, and motivational interviewing. Combine, these therapeutic tools give clients a wide range of coping mechanisms for dealing with the root causes and subsequent consequences of addiction. These skills help regulate emotions, decrease impulsivity, improve relationships, reduce stress, and heal old wounds.
The deliberate intake of addictive chemicals is the first step on the way to drug addiction, but eventually, a person’s capacity to decide whether to stop consuming drugs is weakened. When someone realizes they need help and goes out for it, or when family members spot abuse and help the victim see how damaging their actions are, that is when treatment starts. After that, the first step is detoxification, which comprises completely quitting drug use and may result in harmful and perhaps fatal withdrawal symptoms.
