The typical full program offered at the Beachcomber Outpatient Services consists of a 90-day plan, which combines both the residential or Partial Hospitalization Program Now called: HIOP-High Intensity Outpatient Program
(PHP/HIOP) and the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) levels of care. During early recovery, clients are cared for in a structured living environment which helps them adjust to a sober lifestyle. Once completing the residential or PHP/HIOP portion, clients transition into the Intensive Outpatient Program, where they focus on minimizing urges, managing stress, and other life skills conducive to maintaining long-term sobriety.
However, our full 90-day program is not always the best option for clients. Each client’s recovery is unique, therefore each client’s treatment plan is tailored to their individual needs. Below is a video of our Ft. Lauderdale clinical director, Genna Risucci, explaining our program in-depth, as well as two of the three owners, Frank and Jim Bryan, describing some of the program’s finer details.
Here at The Beachcomber, we try to make the admissions process as easy as possible for our clients. Beginning with initial contact with a client or a loved one seeking help, we thoroughly interview and evaluate each client’s situation. This helps determine the severity of the client’s current state, whether there are any health risks involved as well as the client’s willingness to begin recovery. Our main objective is to minimize severe withdrawal symptoms by determining the appropriate level of care for the client’s particular need. In doing this, we are able to minimize severe withdrawal symptoms.
Admissions are scheduled 2 hours before the start of the group sessions, Monday through Friday, at any of our three locations: Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, or Ft. Lauderdale. During the admission process, we first have clients sign group confidentiality forms to ensure the sanctity of group discussion, and then perform an evaluation to build an understanding of their history with addiction. Once the client has been admitted, they attend their first group session that day. This helps the client process any difficulties they may be facing and promotes a commitment towards their own recovery.
We are in-network with most major insurance providers including Cigna, Aetna, United Health Care, Value Options, Humana, and others, and have gained the reputation as a preferred health care provider for many of our in-network insurances. We also offer flexible payment plans for clients without insurance.
