What to Expect from an Intensive Outpatient Recovery Program

Recovering from drug and alcohol addiction is not an easy thing. It takes time, support, and lifelong growth. Many people will benefit from being part of an outpatient recovery program, such as what we offer here at our Beachcomber outpatient program.

The Beachcomber Outpatient Program is a part of a 90-day program designed to support every stage of the recovery process. This partial hospitalization program in Florida combines medical care with outpatient therapeutic support.

Overview of the Beachcomber Intensive Outpatient Program

Beachcomber’s partial hospitalization program in Florida is 90 days and consists of the following stages:

  • Partial Hospitalization Program (28 Days): This is where clients can stabilize and learn to take care of themselves physically after years of drug and alcohol abuse on their bodies.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (6 weeks): Patients live in a sober living residence or at their home and attend the program for 6 days a week, 5 hours a day.
  • After these two phases, participants start attending for just 3 days a week, 3 hours a day. Here they can choose what support option is most beneficial to them, such as group therapy, trauma recovery, holistic programs like yoga or acupuncture, and integrated recovery for other addictions like eating disorders or recovery.

What Makes Beachcomber Intensive Outpatient Program Unique?

  • The benefit of this program is that it combines partial hospitalization with outpatient programming. That means there is an emphasis first on stabilization and physical wellbeing, and then moves into more psychological and therapeutic care.

Some other features of Beachcomber’s Outpatient Program include:

  • Option to pick programs during the IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) portion to best support your recovery
  • Part of a network with all the major insurance providers so patients can have some coverage for the program
  • Licensed by the state of Florida and credited by the Joint Commission of Hospitals since 1980, which is the accreditation process any hospital has to go through
  • Two partial hospitalization programs in Florida to choose from:  Boynton Beach and Ft. Lauderdale
