The Beachcomber’s Partial Hospitalization Program (now called: HIOP – High-Intensity Outpatient Program) in Fort Lauderdale, or PHP/HIOP, is designed for individuals who require very intensive therapeutic support while still maintaining daily responsibilities at home or work. Clients in this program receive a minimum of 6 hours of treatment per day, Monday through Saturday, and reside either at home or in our recommended Partial Hospitalization Program housing in Florida.
This flexible yet intensive level of care is ideal for:
Medical and psychiatric staff are available on-premise weekly and as needed to ensure holistic care.
Unlike inpatient programs that require full-time residence, our PHP/HIOP allows individuals to receive structured treatment while staying connected to their everyday lives. We believe that addressing real-life challenges as they arise with a therapist fosters deeper, longer-lasting recovery.
Each therapeutic option is tailored to the unique needs of every client.
We offer various levels of care designed to meet clients where they are in their recovery journey:
PHP/HIOP treatment is a step down from round-the-clock inpatient programs. With PHP/HIOP, clients benefit from nearly all the same resources as an inpatient program—without the overnight stay. It’s ideal for individuals recovering from:
This approach allows for a smoother transition from inpatient to outpatient treatment and helps clients gradually reintegrate into their normal lives with continued structure and support.
PHP/HIOP is an effective alternative to inpatient care or a transition step from inpatient to outpatient treatment. Except for overnight stays, PHP/HIOP provides access to the same therapeutic resources as inpatient programs. Clients participate in scheduled treatment sessions six days a week and return home each evening.
Compared to inpatient programs with 24/7 care, PHP/HIOP offers a step-down level of supervision while still delivering comprehensive treatment. Whether addressing mental health, substance use disorders, or dual diagnosis, patients receive intensive care while maintaining their home environment. This approach helps those who do not require constant supervision to receive effective therapy while preserving their daily routines.
For many, PHP/HIOP facilitates a smoother transition back to daily life after inpatient treatment, reducing the shock of returning home and supporting sustained recovery.
Whether you’re transitioning from inpatient treatment or seeking a structured, supportive environment while staying connected to your home life, our PHP/HIOP program in Fort Lauderdale may be the right fit.
